Gates of Arctic

Human Impact
Two ways humans have impacted our ecosystem is by causing and protecting endangered animals and natural resources and making laws. Native Americans have been living here hunting animals and using the resources for the last 12,500 years. This has caused most of our animals in our ecosystem to be put on the endangered species list. However now they have put limits on what the Native Americans who still live there can hunt and restriction on migration and to the Gates.
We are also replanting some of the native plants there. So humans originally were going to resources news and lowering the population of animals and now are helping everything grow again. The scientific research is archaeologists finding artifacts from pass native Indian civilization which is uprooting plants and lessening food for other animals. However the National Park Service has created laws against scientific research killing the plants or hurting the environment in any way. Also laws for tourist not to get close certain animals and to not leave or trash there.
